Overview
The Mount Calvary Legacy 125 Endowment Fund (Fund) has been established to provide financial support for charitable Christian causes and initiatives through a process of 1) grant application, 2) grant selection, and 3) grant award, 4) reporting and follow up.
The Fund will operate a website for applicants to gather information and make grant applications online.
Awards will be made based on the financial resources available to the Fund, the need of the requesting organization, the consistency of the request with the Fund’s Mission, Values, and Beliefs, and in accordance with the approved process of the Fund and its By-Laws.
Application Process
Applications will be accepted annually. Submittals must be received no later than COB 01 September. Evaluation and selection will be conducted by the Directors, and awards will be made during the last week of October, each year.
Application forms are available online, by email at [email protected], or through a direct request to the Fund at 6710 Arapahoe Ave. Boulder Colorado, 80303.
Applications must be submitted before the deadline, must be complete and include all required information to be considered.
The Fund will acknowledge receipt of applications through email/posting to the website.
Award Amounts
For 2020, awards will total approximately $18,000 USD. Total amounts for future years will be posted to the Fund’s website.
The minimum award will be $500, and the maximum award will be $9000.
Total awards will be split between smaller and larger amounts and will be made to 4-8 applicants in order to optimize the positive impact of the Fund, and to assist smaller causes that cannot otherwise find financial assistance.
All applicants will be notified of the outcome of the selection process at the time awards are announced.
Factors Considered in Selection
Organizations, initiatives, and projects will be considered based on their support for and consistency with our Mission, Values, and Beliefs, which are available on the website, or by request.
Projects and groups providing matching funds to leverage effort and results are encouraged.
Projects and groups using volunteers are encouraged.
In the case of special or urgent needs, the Directors will consider taking applications and making special awards outside of the established dates.
Follow Up and Reporting
Grant recipients are required to report back to the Fund on the outcome of their initiative or results achieved by their organization. These will be shared on our website and will be the basis for ongoing partnerships and future grant awards.
